Feb 2015 Recap 2_Collage_Fotor Why does every month just seem to fly by so quickly? Quick recap of this past month:

  • My husband took me to a dinner on a cruise on the bay for Valentine’s Day. Turned out to be more fun than I thought.

February 2015 Goals

Feb 2015 Goals 1Happy February!

Omgoodness … January just flew by! So much have happened already this year. Quick recap of this past month:

  • Went to Santa Barbara the first weekend of the month. This was really fun. We rented a house with a bunch of friends and just hung out.
  • One of the biggest change for me this month is that I got a job offer and accepted! It’s definitely been tough during the whole job search period since I received a lot of rejections. This post was well written about rejection and I love how the last part is that “rejection often sends you somewhere better”, which hopefully is where I’m headed ;). Which brings me to this verse that I love: “For I have a plan for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
  • It was my birthday! Yay! We went to LA for the weekend and my husband took me to Universal Studios since I never been before. That was a lot of fun! A lot smaller than Disneyland but much more manageable. We were able to ride all the rides and watch two shows. My favorite ride was the Transformer.
  • It’s also my blog’s one year anniversary! Yay! Can’t believe I’ve actually kept up with blogging for one year!

Last month’s goals:

  1. Finish reading month 1 of #365DaysOfTruth plan. Done! Progress is at 8%
  2. Finish reading 1 book. Still reading “You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity“.
  3. Cook/bake a new recipe. Done! Made romanesco, steamed chicken with black beans and chili, stuffed bitter melon in black bean sauce, and baked salmon with black beans and chili,
  4. Workout at least once a week. Done!
  5. Volunteer at least once this month. Didn’t happen 🙁
  6. Go on a date night with David. Done! We went to Universal Studios and Saison for dinner.
  7. Cut off electronics by 11PM on work nights. We did so well the first two weeks and then fell off the wagon 🙁
  8. Do 1 coffee meeting. Done!

This month’s goals:

  1. Read month 2 of #365DaysOfTruth plan.
  2. Read two books this month.
  3. Study and take two exams this month.
  4. Workout once a week.

2015 New Year’s Resolutions

2015 New Year ResolutionWriting new year’s resolutions is always a love/hate relationship for me. It’s nice to look back at the goals you wanted to accomplish at the beginning of the year and see how much you’ve done, but you also realize how much time flies by and wonder why you haven’t done half the things you set out to do?  I know some people don’t write new year’s resolutions since they figure they’ll never accomplish them anyway, but I feel like that shouldn’t stop us from trying. If you fail one day, get back on the wagon and go for it the next day. You don’t have to wait until next year to start your goal. DO IT NOW! Even here, I’m late posting my new year’s resolutions, but that’s not going to stop me! 🙂

2015 will be the year I’m more intentional and purposeful with my time.
